ABOUT PESO MANDALUYONG

The Mandaluyong City Public Employment Service Office (PESO) aims to ensure the prompt and efficient delivery of employment facilitation services and provide timely and relevant information on labor market opportunities and employment-related government programs.

PESO serves as a link between jobseekers, employers, educational institutions, government agencies, and other partners to promote decent and productive employment, livelihood opportunities, career development, and workforce readiness.

OUR SERVICES

1. EMPLOYMENT FACILITATION

PESO connects jobseekers with suitable employment opportunities and assists employers in finding qualified workers.

Services include:

  • Job matching, referral, and placement
  • Local and overseas employment referral
  • Public and private employment opportunities
  • Job fairs and recruitment activities
  • Active sourcing of job vacancies
  • Employer coordination and accreditation
  • Referral of qualified jobseekers to employers
  • Assistance to disadvantaged youth and other priority sectors
  • Monitoring of employment referrals and placement results

PESO also works closely with employers and government agencies to promote lawful, fair, and accessible recruitment and placement services.

2. MIGRATION SERVICES

PESO provides assistance to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), returning migrant workers, and their families through coordination with concerned national government agencies.

Services include:

  • OFW Help Desk
  • Reintegration assistance for returning OFWs
  • Livelihood and entrepreneurship referrals
  • Financial literacy and investment-related programs
  • Coordination with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), OWWA, and other partner agencies
  • Anti-Illegal Recruitment assistance and awareness

These services aim to protect migrant workers and support their successful reintegration into the local community and workforce.

3. CAREER COACHING AND LIVELIHOOD PROGRAMS

PESO helps students, graduates, jobseekers, and aspiring entrepreneurs prepare for employment and livelihood opportunities.

  • Entrepreneurship seminars
  • Livelihood and self-employment referrals
  • DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) assistance
  • Referral to government livelihood programs
  • Coordination with TESDA and other training institutions
  • Student Entrepreneurship programs
  • Skills development and training referrals

PESO promotes both employment and entrepreneurship as pathways toward sustainable income and economic independence.

4. LABOR MARKET INFORMATION

PESO provides relevant and updated information to help jobseekers, students, employers, schools, and other stakeholders make informed employment and career decisions.

Services include:

  • Collection and dissemination of job vacancies
  • Labor supply and demand information
  • Employment and industry trends
  • Emerging occupations and in-demand skills
  • Updated registry of skills and jobseekers
  • Labor market information through job fairs, social media, schools, barangays, and partner agencies

Labor Market Information helps PESO align its programs with the actual needs of employers and the local workforce.

5. OTHER EMPLOYMENT-RELATED PROGRAMS

PESO implements and facilitates various employment programs in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), other national government agencies, educational institutions, employers, and community partners.

SPES

Special Program for Employment of Students

Provides temporary employment opportunities to qualified students and out-of-school youth to help them continue their education.

TUPAD

Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers

Provides temporary emergency employment to qualified disadvantaged, underemployed, and displaced workers.

GIP

Government Internship Program

Provides young workers with opportunities to gain experience in government service.

JOBSTART PHILIPPINES

Provides young jobseekers with career coaching, life skills training, technical training, and work experience to improve their employability.

JOB FAIRS

Connects jobseekers directly with participating employers and government agencies through citywide and special recruitment activities.

FIRST TIME JOBSEEKERS ASSISTANCE

Assists eligible first-time jobseekers in accessing government-issued pre-employment documents pursuant to Republic Act No. 11261 or the First Time Jobseekers Assistance Act.

JOB PLACEMENT OFFICE

Strengthens partnerships between PESO and educational institutions to provide students and graduates with career guidance, labor market information, job matching, recruitment activities, and school-to-work opportunities.

KASAMBAHAY HELP DESK

Provides information and assistance to domestic workers and household employers in accordance with RA 10361 or the Domestic Workers Act, including referrals to appropriate government services and social protection programs.
